Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to earn gear, weapons and more. They're hard to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you bring guns into the course of. Some players utilize this slot to aid in achieving certain goals and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Some prefer having the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. It's important to note that to choose the pistols for this slot, you need to click on the button to select the appropriate category, like machine guns in the alternate slot. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it simpler to accomplish. This combo also gives you damage from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds as long as you have it in the slot.

Slot for items that are smuggled

The smuggled item slot is a great feature that allows players to bring weapons and other tools into the game, but could be improved. It's currently designed as pistols, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled items slot from other gear top mobile slots.

The smuggle slots can be used to store a wide range of items ranging from concussion devices and explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items can be found in hidden locations throughout the map. They can be picked up at anytime. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a function available in episodic missions that lets players discover different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots ahead of their entry into the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This allows players to prepare the perfect task for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will quickly get full early in the game, leading to the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots Are Full". This message prevents Max to pick new equipment until the old ones are removed or a larger space is obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this issue. They provide an increase in inventory space to complete challenges. Because many of these challenges are missed and are scattered around the world, it may take a while to reach the maximum number inventory high variance slots in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. Each gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same type) only has one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations let you store items that do not fit in your slot for weapons or gear, and retrieve them later.

These pickups are particularly useful when you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the game, or if you are carrying a weapon that might otherwise cause suspicion. However, you can only hide one item per game at a pickup location for agencies.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Once you've reached the mission marker, identify a mob when you arrive.
