If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that doubles up as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when you are traversing kerbs and woodland trails. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as jet-setters. This is due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and the 6+ month color pack combine to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy to look at and has a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it with one hand).

It's also easy to attach or remove attachments or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking and is machine washable to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months old to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This may not be ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex like other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move, however, and it can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller single is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put into a car trunk. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopy sizes.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. None of the parts required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features that we think you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years, converting easily between a carrycot and seat by just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. Although it is a narrow pushchair it handled the bumps of everyday life well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. While walking on the stony path, we let them swivel and it did this quite well although it did seem a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. But they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to fold and can fit into the trunk of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of food. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first debuted. It's a frame made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It has a number of notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has an integrated suspension system which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made from tough foam and minimise punctures. It was simple to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps and automatically locks without fuss. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes have a single stroller action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined in many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be set so that they face each other. They can also be oriented towards the parents. This can help to reduce sibling arguments about who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a huge tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also comes with a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who like to stay active. It's among the lightest running strollers you can buy for your child and offers excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It also comes with a twist hand brake which is different from the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is comfortable and has a wide area to sit, but the depth of the seat is not as deep as other joggers that we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin comes with an open-top cover that can be closed to keep items safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds. It is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of infant car seats and bassinets, but you can use them from the very first day with adapters that will fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
